Don Kohler has practiced law in and around Chester County for 25 years. He worked as a general practice lawyer, prosecutor, and public defender early in his career. For almost 17 years, Don has managed his firm, focusing on estate planning, adoptions, guardianships, probate, divorce, custody, support, civil litigation, contract law, and business formation.

 

Don has been named a Top Lawyer by Mainline Today Magazine 11 times. He has held every Officer position and was President of the Chester County Bar Association. He also served on the Board of the Chester County Bar Foundation as a Director and two-term President.

 

Deeply involved in his community, Don is currently a School Board Director and has presented a law-related education program for third graders since 2011. He is also an Assistant Scout Master and County Director with the Boy Scouts of America. In addition, he has coached T-ball, baseball, basketball, and soccer.

 

Don is well-regarded and recognized for serving the community and the legal profession. In 2014, the Chester County Bar Association awarded him the Board of Directors Award. In 2016, he was awarded the Service Award by the Chester County Bar Foundation. In addition, the Chester County Boy Scouts awarded Don with the District Award of Merit in 2018, and in 2023 he was awarded the Silver Beaver Award, the highest honor a Scouts, BSA Council can give to a Volunteer.

 

Don, his wife Kim, and their three children reside in Southern Chester County. Don grew up in a middle-class family. After High School, he worked his way through Penn State, then worked for five years. Then, with the love and support of Kim, he enrolled in law school to pursue his dream of being an attorney.

 

Don earned his Juris Doctorate at Widener University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts at Pennsylvania State University.
