Meet Melissa

PEOPLE FIRST!

 

Melissa is dedicated to putting the people of the 167th District first as their State Representative focused on solutions. Melissa's priorities include supporting economic growth, community safety, and education. She plans to achieve this by supporting small businesses and workforce development, advocating for pro-growth tax reform, supporting crime victims and first responders, and expanding school choice while ensuring financial responsibility. She will work to collaborate with her colleagues to get things done for the people of her District.

 

Melissa grew up in Maine within a family of small business owners who built businesses from the ground up. Early on, she learned the importance of having goals, focus, and a solid work ethic. She saw what it took to start and develop a business and, in turn, is dedicated to supporting small businesses, which are the vital carriers of the economy in Chester County. 

 

She earned a Bachelor of Science while working in Boston, Massachusetts, at Wentworth Institute of Technology.  Proceeding to work for architectural firms as a designer, owner's representative, and architectural representative in her chosen field of corporate design.

 

As a community outreach partner, Melissa collaborates with diverse individuals, from those involved in equine therapy to those pursuing vocational education. Melissa is the Chair of the Historic Architectural Review Board (HARB) and Liaison to – Planning and Zoning in Charlestown Township. As well as a member of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau.

 

Melissa, her husband, and two daughters live in Charlestown Township on a historic farm purchased and restored by her family as a foreclosed property. She's also a dog rescue enthusiast.
